Dear Readers 18
15th June 2001
Dear
Readers!
Hello again! I thought it'd been a long while since
I'd addressed you personally, so here is edition 18 of Dear Readers...
First of all, I can't believe so many of you keep
coming back for more. I am entirely amazed, and also (I have to
admit) slightly flattered (in an entirely professional sense as
a writer - of course.. I don't take these things to heart
.
No, not me. I mean, it's not as if I'm sensitive or vain or anything.
<G>) .
Seriously though, although I shouldn't speak too
soon - it looks as if this month the site will clock up its 300,000th
page hit. Last month alone, pages on ThatP were shown a whopping
33,000 times.
Week in, week out I publish uncensored, (worse:
un-edited and un-checked) diary updates. Week in, week out you guys
come back. It's a success. Not on a mainstream Big Brother scale,
but in it's own small way it has become something. I still can't
believe it!
Apparently, since the end of Mark's diary, I'm now
the longest running gay diary online in the UK - but enough of me
boasting. Without you as readers, and without your own efforts to
let people know about the site, the result would have been something
else. So a heart-felt merci from P to you.
Now on to content news: I've finally put together
a site index.
You may be surprised at how much is hidden away from the main pages..
For the more recent members of the readership, you might enjoy taking
the Gay
Sex Survey - I was surprised to see that now over 2,000 people
have taken it! It's called a survey, but it's also quite fun - just
remember, this site is all about honesty, so no fibbing! (Although,
judging from the answers that have already been given, it would
seem that people have filled it in honestly without even exaggerating!
Thanks guys!) - oh, and it doesn't ask for names or e-mail addresses
either, so now there's no reason to hold back.
Remember: I would prefer it if family members find
out about my life by talking to me, rather than reading the site.
Boyfriend Mark - stop, think, and do the right thing.
Enough from me, and on to the update!
